Incubator Rentals

Rent a high performance mini RCOM automatic digital incubator and experience the wonder of watching little chicks hatch In the comfort of your home. We will be there for you to guide you through the process. You can raise the babies for a week and return them back to the farm to be added to our flocks. If you decide you want to keep your fluffy guest, the chicks are available for purchase at a discount. At least one chick is guaranteed to hatch or you get to try again. After hatch, additional chicks can be picked up at the farm to add to your brooder for more fluffy fun if you wish.

Cost:$180. Plus a photo of your valid driver’s license.     

Duration 30 days. 

Additional chicks for brooder $10 for two chicks. 

Kit includes everything you need to hatch and brood for a week plus additional educational materials. Pick up and drop off at our hobby farm by appointment. 

Optiion B: Rent a bigger RCOM incubator. Same high performance machine as the smaller version. This unit holds 20 to 24 eggs. This unit comes with our fertilized eggs to fill it up and our larger brooder kit for your baby chick experience. You are guaranteed to get a hatch or you can try again.

Cost $400.  Plus $100 security deposit and a photo of your valid driver’s licence.

 Duration 30 days. Kit is picked up and returned to our hobby farm by appointment. 

Kit Includes everything you need to hatch and brood for a week with additional educational materials.. Chicks and rental kit are returned to the farm, but if you decide you want to keep your new fluffy friends, your hatched chicks can be purchased at a special discount of $5 each

Option C: Rent the bigger RCOM incubator and a mixed selection of fertilized eggs but keep the chicks for your household. 

Cost $350 Plus $100 security deposit and photo of a valid driver‘s licence

Duration 24 days.  Incubator is picked up and returned to our hobby farm by appointment.

Your rental kit includes everything you need to hatch your babies and the Brooder kit has all the supplies to care for your little fluffy friends for a week. The Brooder kit also includes some hands-on education materials designed by educators to enrich the experience while you patiently wait for hatch day. You will find books, printable worksheets and a  manipulative set with visuals showing daily chick development tucked in the brooder ready to use.

Want to meet a bunny? We can set up a special visit with one or more of our bunnies when you come to return your rental kit. Sometimes kids feel sad saying good bye to their fluffy chicks and we find getting a chance to meet one of our bunnies at drop off can help ease the loss. Just let us know ahead of time and we will have a bunny ready to meet you.

Do you love butterflies? We do too. Want to add some educational butterfly books and activities to your kit? We are working on some fun things to create a special add on packet for you.

Mini pots and various butterfly friendly seeds from our garden for you to plant your own flowers for you to keep. Some educational books and plastic figurines of the butterfly life cycle to be returned to our hobby farm.
